FREEDOM ISN’T A THEORY.
I’M LIVING PROOF.
By the grace of Jesus Christ, I’ve lived sober since June 3, 2017. Recovery gave me tools, but Jesus gave me a new identity. This page exists for anyone who is still trapped, newly free, or fighting to stay free—one surrendered day at a time.
RECOVERY THAT REACHES THE ROOT.
SURRENDER
Freedom begins when I stop pretending I can control what has already mastered me. Surrender isn’t giving up—it’s placing my life into the hands of Jesus.
ACCOUNTABILITY
Healing grows in honesty. Recovery requires safe people, hard conversations, daily inventory, and the willingness to bring darkness into the light.
SERVICE
What God brings us through becomes a bridge for somebody else. We stay free by giving away the hope, truth, and support that helped lead us out.
START WHERE YOU ARE.
1. TELL THE TRUTH
Name what has control of you. Freedom cannot grow where denial is still being protected.
3. CONTACT A SAFE PERSON
Call a sponsor, pastor, recovery leader, counselor, or trustworthy friend. Isolation strengthens addiction; connection interrupts it.
2. ASK JESUS FOR HELP
You do not need polished words. Bring Him the truth, the fear, the cravings, and the wreckage.
4. TAKE THE NEXT RIGHT STEP
Find a meeting, seek professional help, remove access to what is destroying you, and focus on staying free today.
Dark 2 Light Ministries shares testimony and spiritual encouragement but does not replace medical care, professional counseling, detoxification services, or emergency assistance.
YOU DON’T HAVE TO FIGHT ALONE.
Shame tells you to hide until you can fix yourself. Recovery begins when you step into the light and let safe people walk beside you. Reach out, watch the recovery testimonies, and take one honest step today.
