JESUS DIDN’T IMPROVE MY LIFE. HE RESCUED IT.
This ministry was built from what He brought me through.
My name is Ian Miller Sr.—artist name IM. I spent years chained to addiction, self-destruction, and a life headed nowhere good. Jesus Christ met me in the wreckage, gave me a new identity, and taught me that surrender isn’t weakness—it’s where freedom begins. By His grace, I’ve lived sober since June 3, 2017. Dark 2 Light Ministries exists to turn that rescue into a road map for somebody else.
THE DARKNESS
Before there was music, ministry, or a message, there was bondage. Addiction promised escape but built a prison. I knew dope sickness, broken trust, isolation, shame, and the exhausting cycle of chasing relief that never lasted.
I wasn’t a man who needed better motivation. I was a captive who needed a Savior. The deeper I tried to bury the pain, the more control it took. What looked like rebellion on the outside was slavery on the inside—and I could not free myself.
THE RESCUE
Jesus Christ did what willpower, substances, pride, and empty promises never could—He met me in the wreckage and called me out of it. He didn’t wait for me to become worthy. He brought grace into the place where shame said my story was already over.
Recovery wasn’t an instant escape from every consequence. It became a life of daily surrender, honest accountability, prayer, Scripture, fellowship, and learning to stop trying to be God. Every time I surrender control, I find the peace I spent years trying to manufacture.
The chains didn’t break because I became stronger. They broke because Jesus is stronger.
THE MISSION TODAY
Today, I’m a husband, father, worker, recovery voice, devotional writer, and Christian hip-hop artist known as IM. Dark 2 Light Ministries lives where faith meets real life—at work, in recovery rooms, behind a microphone, beside the water, and anywhere somebody needs proof that Jesus still restores broken people.
The mission is simple:
Set the captives free.
Bleed testimony.
Lead men out of bondage.
All in Jesus’ name.
Everything here—music, videos, devotionals, recovery resources, outreach, and future merchandise—exists to point people toward freedom in Jesus Christ.
YOUR STORY DOESN’T HAVE TO END IN THE DARK.
Reach out for prayer, recovery encouragement, or to share your testimony. You don’t have to walk alone—Jesus still brings captives into the light.
